I have an 03 disc and an 05 disc. The 05 will require you to first install the update software disc which I also have. Respond if you are interested and I can get them burned for you this week. Let me know what version you want.
Just thought I'd share my 2c on the subject, in case it helps anyone. For those nav systems that are CD-based, making a copy is easy. For the DVD-based ones, it is more difficult (in terms of write options, type of disk, etc). If doing a DVD, do some searching first, to learn from other people's coasters (I have a CD-based nav system so sorry, I don't have any first-hand DVD experience to offer).
I actually purchased the new set for $199 from Navteq which included the update software... Everything is great other than I believe my antenna is defective as i'm never on course?? even with the speed pulse connected. I seem to be out of calibration?? Any ideas??
2005 F150 with 2004 Expedition nav system and 2005 update disks.
It may be ab issue with your GPS needing to be recalibrated. Your manual will explane the process of driving in a circle to recalibrate it and that should put you back on course.
I have a "generic" gps antenna and NOT the actual ford item which I believe is the issue... I'm having a hard time with Ford finding the actual part number to order the correct antenna, anyone know it?
