10 of 15 here, and they're ALL before my time. I'm 32.
Yes, Buddy Holly died in a plane crash with Richie Valens and some others. If memory serves, he only had one hit in his short career: "That'll Be the Day".
Very Good ,, Ya Ole Foggies!
TJC & N.D. got it right!
The reason I remember this because My Late Neighbors had a 1959 Edsel Ranger 4dr. Pink & White. He would go out in the mornings and wipe the dew off the car. He still had the window sticker and all of the paperwork too! That 302 was a quiet running motor! The old fellow had a stroke and was told no more driving! So, I got to drive him around to some car lots to see what they'd give him for it. Most of the dealers in the area knew him and the car, Most told him $500.00, Aint never seen that old feller cuss a dealer so bad! A friend of mine who had an Uncle in The Edsel Club came over and gave him $5000.00 CASH! Old feller just laughed,,, Hey Honey!!! I made a profit on the car! He paid $3690.00 in 1959!

But do you know who did not fly on that plane, Famous C&W Singer/Songwriter?
Autoglass, that would have been either john denver or arlo guthrie (can't remember for sure at the moment.) I got all but 4 of the originals. I knew the red skelton one, but couldn't rememer his name, my mother loved that show. BTW I'm 26.
