Tips and Pipe Size

I am lookingat doing my exhaust. I am going to buy everything and then have my muffler shop weld it all in (hopefully this will save me some $$$). I know I have 3" piping on my '01 V10 F250. I would assume that I should buy a muffler with a 3" inlet and outlet, right? Next for the tip (or tips). I had 4" tips on my Chevy 1500 and they looked good, but I was thinking with a bigger truck i should go with a bigger tip. Would a 5" tip look good? It just seems like there is a lot more space behind the rear tires to fill. The stock 3" tailpipe is hardly noticable. I was looking a 6" tip, but I think that may be a little overkill. Does anyone know a company that make a 3" in 5" out stainless tip that is 24" long?

Yes, 3" in and out is right. As far as the tip, look in places that offer deisel performance exhausts, as deisel exhaust systems usually have larger tips (3.5" to 6").

I have located a good place or two to find a tip. I did look for diesel performance places and that was the way to go. Spent about 3 hours looking, but found one that I like.
