2003 expedition door locks

2003 expedition door locks

the front driver side door lock on my expedition has stopped working. It will not lock or unlock with the remote, door code, or button on the door. There is no noise coming from the door when any of the buttons are pushed. the passenger side door did it about a month ago, but is working fine. any ideas on what may be the problem?

My first suggestion is to remove the cover over the window and door lock buttons and see if the harness has come loose. You may also have a short. To check out everything just remove the door panel.

i pulled the door panel off today, and i think it's the actuator. the wire harness was tight and everything seemed ok....next question..any ideas on how to easily change out the actuator?i couldn't totaly see it, and didn't wanna mess up anythinginside the door.
