Won't Start After Sitting
I have a 2000 Excursion V-10 that wont crank (roll over) after sitting for 2 to 3 weeks. When jumped it starts just fine. The alternator has been checked and is working fine. The battery was checked and found to be ok, but I had it replaced anyway. Installed an 875 cold cranking amp battery. The problem continued. The dealer proformed a draw test and found it to be within the normal range. The dealer said everthing is ok, and this normal. I certainly don't think this is normal. Has anyone else experienced this type situation?

I would check the condition of the connections at the starter and also the starter wire itself. Maybe it is getting old or corroded and needs that extra umph from the jump to overcome it. Same could be said about the starter solenoid, too.
