Hey man nice truck.Looks just like mine but alot better. That snorkle looks good.Do you frequent deep water or is it a for looks thing? If you frequent water Id worry about waterproofing the distributer.I found that out the hard way.Even though I still havent gotten mine waterproofed.

Reason: ???
Looks like it will keep the water out of the intake. Get the stickers off the pipe tho. Are the differentials and tranny vented high also? Waterproofing the distributor could be tough. Remember water will also accumulate in the brake master cylinder on top of the seal.
oh thanks for letting me know about the distributer and brake cylinder i plan mostly on bogging it i just am making it so the mud doesn,t bog my truck out pretty much and i got my vents all vented up on top of my headache rach
The master cylinder already has a rubber seal on top that breathes with the pedal operation etc. People just need to remember it can suck in a dribble of water that will need to be cleaned up regularly.
Most distributors are vented which may allow water inside. Not sure what they do there.
Submersion can be a problem with the distributor, try a good silicone. alot of the guys i know uset 5.0 mustang boots over the top to keep water spray off the top.
Take the distributor cap off and run a bead of silicone around it and put it back on. There are also several different brands of "water repellant" that you can spray on the distributor cap and spark plugs, that applies a silicone film on the cap and wires to seal them. I use it on my swamp buggy, and I can steadily run through water a little over the spark plugs (my plugs are 5' high with the 54" Goodyear tractor tires), with no problems. Also carry lots of WD40.
