Searched the regs in Texas and there are no emissions tests for diesels (yet). If they put a tube in your exhaust they did not know what they were doing.

If you bought a cab chassis it does not come with a cat from the factory. Getting inspected is no problem. I have a staight pipe exhaust and have never had any problem getting inspected.

Hmm... so you guys don't get sniffer tests?....... Come to think of it, it's odd that my dentist checks my prostate too...

I'm in katy texas here. just got my 02 7.3 inspected i have the MBRP 5" Turbo back exhaust and all they did was the safety inspection like always.. Just like it was posted earlier the new emissions stuff has to be on the 07 and up diesel motors hence the new exhaust set up on the 07 and 08 SD pick ups. I know the 08 has the exhaust scrubber and all that other junk on it now.

Yellermax - might want to change your dentist. On the other hand, as long as you're sitting in the chair, you are safe.
