I came across this beat up salvage corvette (may be 67 but not quite sure). It is almost next to nothing and to add insult to injury the car has been standing for last 20 years or so but I still think that I can salvage the frame, a hood, some interior part. Ho, BTW the engine is missing totally. How much can I pay for it? I want to get the chassis cleaned and powder coated for a project. Also, how much do these rebuilt chassis cost if I have to buy else where? Hood cost? I ‘m evaluating the cost factor here that’s about it.
Its not a 67, Its newer that that .A 67 is much much more valuable restored. My opinion is the car has some very serious issues or someone else would have already tried to restore it. Even if they gave you the car for free you could easily have to put more money into it than what it would be worth, Unless you are a very experienced vette mechanic DONT GET IT
I don't think it's worth that, as for year it looks like it had the rubber front bumper cover and those didnt start till 73 and they were the same basic body as a 68 and it ran all the wat till 79 I think it was. Going by what I can see of it I would say 73 to 75
Car and Driver went through all years of the Corvette in '03 methinks, as that was the 50th year anniversary. Some years, and I think, for example, '84 was one, they sold a lot and there is little chance they will ever be worth much. '68 was a trouble year, as it was the first year of production for that body style and set the mark for the "never buy the first year out..." standard.
You might be able to find that on line and see if this one has any chance of returning your investment, or, as indicated above, if you aren't schooled already, you might could pass....
