Ok, I have been reading all these posts for like the last week and a half, and I have not really seen anything about what mine is doing so will you please help me out if you could.
When I am driving down the road, and the truck switches to overdrive, it has this really bad vibration at about 55-60mph, then it gets better and better the faster I go, it feels like a loss of power to, because it won't climb hills, I don'y know what I should do about this, this is one of four vehicles I have, and I am only 16 So if it is something big, it shouldn't be to hard to fine something else to drive, the only problem is the price, this is the only 4X4 i have and winter in iowa can be bad, but it has been kind of forgiving lately, any of your help would be appreciated, thanks!!
Ok, I am guessing you have an E4OD auto, and that this is when the torque converter clutch locks up. Maybe some more info on the truck, like what is it?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but, I beleive the easiest way to tell is the location of the O/D shut off switch. The E4OD had it in the end of the gear selector lever and the AOD was on the dash. There may be a few exceptions to this rule but that has been my undersatnding.
Ok I am sorry about not telling everyone what is was, i thought that was on the end, anyway, i have and 89 EB 302 auto, but i am not sure which transmission it has, the only OD shutoff that it has is in the gears they are: OD D 1 What does all of this mean and can some one please help me??
