If you goto any automotive paint store, they'll have the books showing all the available colors for your year model. Being 1975, there weren't a vast amount available like today so getting a match won't be much of a problem.
ya i called ford but they for some wierd reason didnt have the information i needed but im gonna try an auto body shop and see if the at least have the paint code for me. thanks for the help
A body shop should have it, if not look up Automotive paint Stores or supply stores, or if you want, just give me a rough idea what the color is and I'll find out for you.
I'll track it down tomorrow while I'm at work and get you a paint code tomorrow night if that's ok,, the paint store is already closed otherwise I'd call tonight.
It's quite simple..look at the VIN plate and take the paint code from that. That'll tell your paint store exactly what color RED you have.
Where it says Paint on the VIN plate...look ABOVE for the code, not below. There will be either: 2 numbers; 2 letters; or 1 number and 1 letter. Double that for tu-tone.
Ford parts personnal do have refs..they just don't want to bother. That wasn't the case however, in my day.
Mi1lion has very good sources for paint info, and I have some as well.
