Hello everyone I have a 1967 bronco I have put a 302 in it an power steering an I have put a hydoboost brake on an it worked great for a while but now my brakes are hard to push an the pedel hardly moves I still have drum brakes on it for now . Also I am wondering if the gears in my dana 30 will fit into a dana 44 I want to put undre my bronco I am going to rebuild it this week my bronco has 4.10's the 44 has 3.50's can I swap them . Thank you Rick
Are you getting any flow from the power steering pump to the hydroboost unit? Do you have any way to test pressure? Is your steering working normally? Does it stop with the hard pedal?
The ring and pinion or the carrier will not interchange between a Dana 30 and a Dana 44.
Yes it will stop it lock them up. I did bleed them again an that did not fix anything I will check for to see if I have flow .The way I have it plumb is it come off the power steering pump an gos to the hydroboost then to the steer box .
Thank you fo the info on the dana axles . Rick
your getting back pressure in the system. Did you use a dual return pump of the TEE setup?? If you have the TEE, it is plumbed incorrectly causing this.. if you have a dual return something in your system is blocking the flow, start checking around
The tee should be set up with the return line from the steering box straight through the tee to the pump. The hydro-booster in the 90 degree spot. Connect it as close to the pump as you can.
