high-end miss

i am about 5000 miles into a new engine in my 86 f150. i started experiencing a high-end miss which has gotten progressivley worse. the list of things which i have changed already to no evail are: Cap and rotor and plugs, fuel pump, adjusted timing, throttle cable(which appeared to be broke). the symtoms are when i get on the gas to accelerate rapidly, it seems to take off and then bog down and stutter and then grab again. I can not go on the freeway anymore cause it wont stay above 65, it will keep trying to bog out, almost like it is starving for gas. someone mentioned the low pressure fuel pump, but i pulled it out and turned the key on and it seemed to be working fine.
If anyone has experienced this before, or can get me goin in the right direction it would be cool
Thanx

Smile High Speed Miss

Had the same problem after my rebuild on my 86. Found the problem to be that the number 7 & 8 plug wires were routed too close to each other and were cross firing. I seperated those plug wires and the problem went away.
