Heater Blower moter

Just noticed this last week that my heater blower moter is not working on all the settings. The speed kicks up on the second dot setting and the third dot setting is the same as the second. The fourth dot setting high, works like it always has. My question is where should I start looking to fix this problem? In the Relay with the fuses, or might it be the fan switch in the dash?

check you blower resistor. it is behind the accumulator under the hood.

OK I looked and couldn't see anything that I thought might be the resistor.
What might I be looking for? size/color I thought it would be easy to find, but no such luck for me.

it will be a one inch square connector to the drivers side of the blower motor behing the accumulator. it should be a gray connector with 5 or 6 wires around 10 or 12 gauge.
