I Was towing today and noticed that when I was going about 80-85 mph the truck was pulling fine, but when going uphill the speed would go down and the peddle would be to the floor. is this normal for this to happen? after hill speed would go back up.
Just how big of a load are we talking, and how big of a hill?
While frankly I don't give a damn how fast you drive, 80-85 mph up a hill on a stock truck with anything more than a moderate load is quite a demanding task. You can't expect it to maintain that speed up any significant grade with more load than a couple thousand lbs.
On edit- I see from previous posts that your load is 9500 lbs.
There is no way you can expect the truck, even healthy, to maintain 85 mph with an almost 10k load up even a marginal grade. I see no problems with it losing speed to some degree.

I'd be lucky to maintain 60 mph up a decent grade around here with my tow. Personally, I won't go over 70 under tow anyway because I think it's unsafe. To each their own.
