Time for Gears....

Its time to buy some gears for my truck. Thinkin 4:56's and i was wondering what brand to go with. I can't decide if i should buy them from Ford or a aftermarket company. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

randy's ring and pinion swears by yukon gears. if you can afford it, go with ford stuff though. oem stuff is much better than aftermarket. better quality steel, and the gears are specifically made for your application, not "just 'nuff" to fit many different vehicles. This means that you're less likely to have the same problem a week later (like a buddy of mine did with a no-name aftermarket brand.) But if youre going with aftermarket, yukon seems to have a good reputation.
