my 93 is going to get a 347ci stroker next summer with 24lb injectors the question of the day is what is the stock fuel pump output. I do have the lastest and greatest post recall fuel pumps in both tanks. they must have been from a later F150 because they had to modify the wiring to hook them up at the ford dealer. Question 2 is how much fuel pump do you need to support 325 hp and 400 ftlbs of torque??? Its a daily driver so it normally will see only 1000-2800 rpms every day not lots of 5500 rpm accellerations
According to my 1995 Ford service manual:
27.7 gallons of fuel per hour at 39 psi. for V8 engines
23.7 gallons of fuel per hour at 55 psi. for the 4.9L engine
I think any new pump from Ford has a redesigned connector. I did a friend's 95 F-250 last summer and Ford told me I'd have to buy the new connector for the truck end of the harness. I soldered the one off the old pump on the new pump harness and it's worked fine. The new connector wasn't cheap and he was already on a tight budget.
