i was drivin all of a sudden i could smell coolant and white smoke started billowing out of the A/C vents and defroster, covering my windshield in steam and coolant started dripping on the floor of the car (passenger side) and outside on the ground. WHAT HAPPENED?!?!
Junk yard or possibly a parts store or on the internet at one of the parts stores. Check a repair manual for removal ,if I remember the core is accessable from outside the cab on the firewall, but it is encased in an enclosure that has to be removed. It is easier if it it is outside that a passenger car that usually has to be removed from inside under the dash, a real pain in the butt--done that.
You can get a new one from Napa. They are pretty cheap and easy to fix. This is the first thing I fixed when I got my truck and I didn't know much back then. It is accessible from the engine compartment but you might have to also remove some screws from behind the glove compartment. This of course was on an 84.
sweet thanks a lot. for a second i thought i had cracked my head.
Huh?
Why on earth would you believe that?
You'd be having something like that coming out your tailpipe, if that were the case, though more than likely you'd not notice it @ all, not into the interior of you cab.
