I had a set of Warn Standards put on and I haven't had the chance to try them out yet. I did test them by turning them into the locking position. When I turned it, it clicked into place. Is that it? That easy?
a quick and easy way to test them out is to lock them and have a buddy stand by the car while you drive it in 2wd. if the front drive shaft is turning, then your hubs are locked. if it doesnt turn that means the wheels are still free from the drive shaft.
Wait,
I was hearing a gross grinding sound from my front passenger wheel which stayed in accordance with the speed I was going. I tested it to see if it was the hubs or the somthing else so I put it in FWD, locked the hubs and it made the sound, then I unlocked the hubs and the sound was gone. From the last reply in this string does that mean that the axel isnt turning anyways.....so it could still be somthing else besides the hubs? Let me know what all yall think! =-)
