Electrical drain
I have a 77 F-250 with 400 that is used as a salt truck. Twice this year the truck has died from dead battery & won't start back up unless jumped but when it is dead the lights are still bright & everything else works fine. I checked the battery & it was fine then the alternator & it was putting 14 volts out. I also checked the ground to the block & cleaned it up but no help. Anyone have any suggestions. I have been out salting several times with the truck and it done this the first time & about a week ago & that is it, it is not everytime.
