I picked up my 2008 lariat CC psd on Saturday. I am very impressed with this truck. One of the first things I noticed while driving is the lack of turbo lag compared to my 2005 6.0. There is a slight lag, but not much more than what you would get with a gasser. The power is also very impressive. Acceleration is very smooth and the throttle response is very good. Another pleasant surprise was how quiet this engine is. The engine is barely audible while idling, and on the highway the noise level hardly changes. I loved my 2005, but the 2008 makes it feel like a 1995. The competition will definitely have their hands full trying to compete with this truck.
