I just got a hold of an original steel exterior sunvisor for my 55 F-100, but alas without the brackets.I know it's a long shot, but does anyone either have an extra set or know where I can get a hold of some? Even a picture or the original Ford parts nr would be appreciated.By the way, my truck will probably be "finished" this spring. It only took eleven years! Erik
Some of the exterior sunvisors don't use brackets. On the side of the visor are there 2/3 small holes? If so, screws go through those into the windshield post itself.
Some visors had a curved add on aluminum bracket that went to the upper corner of the visor-then to the w/post.
I looked in my copy of Krause Publications Ford Light Trucks, 1905-2002. no luck.
Couldn't find another source that showed the visor.
Note: on previous Ford trucks 1948/52, the visor attached to the rain gutter that ran around the door, and down the w/post.

I have original on my '55 panel. I has (2) corner brackets which wrap around the edge of the door opening, and a center bracket. Has a stainless steel (I guess ) band around the front edge.
I'll try again to take some pics of what I have, for what it's worth.
The exterior visor on your panel is beautiful. It's the one that made me want the same. The Fultan visors are horrible.Do you still have the parts nr? Erik
I'll look for the parts #s. I have the original invoice, and original instruction sheet someplace in a pile of papers; I would imagine one of them would have parts #s on it.
Mine was made at the St. Paul, Minn. Ford plant and shipped to a local dealer.
I even saved the original box and the packing. Kind of nuts, I guess.
