When working on your truck or working in the garage.
Trying to lift too heavy a tranmission up into place by yourself only to have it slip and pin you down doing some damage to your body parts.
Being in a hurry and forgetting to replace the rotor in the distributor on a tuneup then wonder why it won`t start.
Forgetting to replace a drain plug during an oil change untill after you have dumped 2 litres of oil in the motor only to see it all over the floor (when you only have enough for this oil change so it`s another trip to town).
Draining the engine oil into a pail with a small hole you can`t see until AFTER you come back from answering a wrong number.
Forgetting to check the rubber gasket on an oil filter before spinning it on, this only happened once but it was a messing deal upon starting the engine.
I'm guessing that's my old tranny you were fighten with?
Once at Arc Alloy I did a oil change in a 7.3 I put about 3 litres in it and went for coffee, ya the oil was on the gravel. Somehow I hid all the evidence and you are the first people to hear about this.

How`s the Florida weather treating you?
-removing a rad to reverse flush it, filling it up again and realizing you forgot to tighten the lower hose
-Wrenching really hard on a spark plug that is rust welded into the aluminum head, and breaking the plug off, so now you need to remove the entire head and get it drilled and tapped or buy another head, which isnt an easy thing to find for a mazda PU
-finally getting around to that gas tank swap youve been putting off for months, and realizing you just filled it the other day when gas was 5 cents cheaper
-getting a friend to help you remove a windshield from a truck at the wreckers, that you had to pay for in advance, and then he gets rushy and breaks it by accident
-buying what the parts guy recommends, which usually means they make more money on whatever it is they are pushing that week not that you are getting a better part
those are ones i can remember by heart...
glad to see someone else makes mistakes sometimes fomoko
When I was snowkings age I couldnt forgive myself...now I dont care aslong as I dont have to go to town to buy more stuff LOL
those trannys can be a beach.... now i use a floor jack or 2 and a board...its slower...but less hard...oh the feeling of gladness when you finally get that first bellhouse bolt started and it slips onto the pins HAHAHA
Spending 2 hours putting your carbs on your motorcycle and the other stuff you have to take off to do the job, then realizing that you forgot to hook up the cables.
I find that if I stay focused, I never end up with any of these bloopers. I always keep a tight handle on what I am doing and never lose my concentration!
Oops, got to run - I forgot to close the door when I came into the house and the dog is getting into the fish in the aquarium because I lost the lid. Did anyone see my coffee cup?
