Brake Controller

I have a Hoppy Brake controller to be installed on a 2006 Ford F250 with a towing package. I have the plug & wiring from Ford to plug in under the dash. It has four wires marked on it:

Dark Blue = Trailer Electric Brake Feed
Red = Trailer Brake Control Feed
White = Ground
Lt Green = Stop Lamp Feed to Brake Controller

The Hoppy Brake controller was four wires coming from it. The documentation is outdated for the 2006 Ford model. The wires from the controller consist of:

Blue =
White =
Red =
Black =

The red wire coming from the Hoppy is a smaller guage wire as is the light green coming from the Ford connection. Can someone provide me with the proper connections.

Thanks in advance.

Try this: http://www.etrailer.com/instructions...N5100&manuf=DT

Blue= trailer brakes to: Ford Blue
Black= + battery to: Ford Red
Red= stoplight feed to: Ford Lt. Green
White= - ground to: Ford white

You might want to check the FORD RED leed with a test light or meter to see if it has 12V from the battery.

Why don't you just pick up the best aftermarket controller to hook up. The Prodigy. Comes with all connections marked...and not that expensive..
