Whats this mean??
Don't know the exact name of it but it's an off road package. Belive back in 78-79 it was called Rough Country Suspension

it means an extra $50-100 dollars when they need to be replaced
I would think they would help with bigger tires and such, I know many with that option. probably standard with the opt. Low gear read-end. the 2 i'm thinking of had 4:10's

driver's side pillar there should be a sticker with axle: (mine is H6)
18 : 3.08
19 : 3.55
H8 : 3.08 Possi
H9 : 3.55 Possi
(there are lots more if yours isn;t one of these post the number and i can tell you what it is.)
most of the broncos I belive had 3.55

Whats this mean??
The quad shocks means your truck is equiped with the heavy duty service package. Your truck should also have the stabilizer bar in the rear and super engine cooling. You might also have a rig that someone changed the shocks to quad but if you have all the other goodies probably not. The service pkg was also part of the trailer towing group which included wiring harness and hvy duty flasher.

If the spring/shock towers are riveted to the frame, it's OE quad front shocks. I bolted mine on after cutting them off an '88 F-150 4x4 frame.
