What is this gadget?

It is a brake controller. When you plug a trailer into the big round plug on the back or possibly inside the bed, there is one pin that goes to your trailer's electric brakes and supplies the necessary current to activate them. It's a nice system. It supplies a variable amount of electricity automatically depending on how hard and how long you depress the pedal. It also has two little adjuster wheels on it to control how much it delivers and how quickly it delivers. If you want to use only your trailer brakes you can slide the thumb switch to the left and it will do the same thing to the trailer brakes as pushing the brake pedal will do only it will not apply the truck brakes. To tell if it is working at all the little light should light up everytime you touch the brake pedal.
