Has anyone seen the FX4 interior or can anyone point be to photos of one? I have one ordered with a delivery end of February and wondered if there are any photos around.

Ordered the 6.4 and most all the options.

I am a member of TDG and a member there posted an ebay link that had a new 08 SD with the FX4 interior with black cloth. I cant link to it at the moment, but I am sure that if you search ebay that you will find it. Its a black Super Cab with the FX4 package. It looks awesome.

 

SuperDuty - Thanks for the info. I found that truck on ebay and the photos are great. It sure does look awesome and I really like the polished cover on the rear differential.

 

I liked that as well. I thought it was very awesome. There was just something about that black truck in the snow..it was just awesome.

I cant wait until the Chrome Package comes out in a bit...that will look awesome on the trucks with the chrome grills and stuff.

PSD - Thanks for the link. Truck looks awesome. I was a little worried that the whole interior would be black. Not too comfortable here in Lake Havasu City, AZ. But looks like it'll work out fine. Besides I hear they've improved the A/C since my 99 F250 PSD.

PSD and SuperDuty - I agree the chrome package will also look awesome. I opted for the body color stuff just for a change.

Yes, the FX4 comes with a choice of cloth or leather, it is up to you. Yes, the chrome package includes, chrome mirror caps, side steps, chrome billet grille, chrome tow hooks, and chrome exhaust tips.

How is that for chrome accents buddy? Hehehe.

 

Did ya notice the price for the engine ?? 7,000 bucks for the 6.4 ??

It sounds like a gas engine, it smells like one, it does not throw out that lovely black, nasty, smelly close to my heart exhaust and its ugly.

 

The reason it doesnt throw out that *lovely* black smoke is because of EPA emissions. Face it, that is pretty much a thing of the past now.

I have always wanted to see the FX4 as a seperate package, and I guess I got my wish there. Looks good.

 

Yeah, we noticed, thats just the price of the new stuff..if ya like it, fine, if not, there are always the other engines.

I like the FX4 now that its a seperate package. I also love those mirrors, awesome.

 

Just wait till we all figure out how to throw that DPF in the garbage somewhere! Then we will be able to make some power!

 

The tricky part is doing it without the truck derating itself.

PS...umm sorry about that post thing, the site was having issues this moring, either that or it was my computer. Maximum4x4 has been pmed by myself about it.

 

I'll be ordering this month either a Lariat or FX4 F350 Dually 4WD CC manual 5 speed. The two items I am a bit confused about are:

1st, With the manual 5 speed I believe you can't get the captain chairs and large center console due to clearance issues with the manual shifter because they made the console so big. So my question is has anybody seen any pictures of the standard front seats in both cloth and leather. I hope they have some shape to them and are not ugly and are comfortable? Can the standard front seat be ordered with leather in either FX4 or Lariat?

2nd, I tow heavy loads so I am really not interested in the skidplates and off road shocks and terrain pattern tires but I do need 4WD to go to my summer camp, so the only reason I am considering the FX4 is I love the non chrome monchrome paint scheme. I had wanted to order the XLT sport in 2006 for the monochrome paint scheme but Ford in their infinite wisdom decided that the spart can only be gotten in auto and that is still true today. Not sure how that makes any sense as to me an auto is the opposite of sport. In any case I was building a 2008 truck on line and under Lariat they mention an option for Monchromatic paint. Does anyone know if that means you can get the monochrome paint job on the Lariat? I couldn't find a description of it anywhere.

Any help would be appreciated.
