Temp. Gauge

I replaced the instrument cluster on my 77 F 250 and it seems to be Ok, But I want to rest at ease and know it is right. Is there a way to add a manual ga.on the engine.
The reason I changed the cluster was a wrong reading.
Every since I had a valve job done it runs warmer, NOT hot just warmer then before. It runs so much better though. In the summer I pull my fifth wheel and would like to know if I'm getting the right reading.
Thanks Don

Buy a name brand mechanical or electric gauge (depends on your preferance) and follow the installation instructions. They usually have optional instructions to install the gauge as well as the temp sender for the stock gauge/light in the cluster. You may need to purchase a misc 1/4" pipe fitting or two. -Ed

Yes you can always have a T-Joint to run both gauges or just either one.

Just make sure you have the correct sending unit for the GAUGE and not the idiot light.

You could always install a coolant recovery tank to catch any coolant blowing out that I assume you are worried about
