They are running the same engine as in their race trucks; just stroke is a bit more...cannot wait for Toyota to win in NASCAR.....it will be so good for the sport.
The sport needs to be turned upside down and this will do it.
If Toyota wins NASCAR, than it will just fit in for what is happening to the auto industries. Toyota has surpased everyone else, so why not in NASCAR. For me, I still want FORD to win. I now have to root for somone other than DJ.
I'm glad Ricky Rudd is back. He will help Yates racing alot. It will be very interesting to see if Toyota starts doing very well really soon how the other manufacturers will step up their support for their teams.
Maybe when ford/gm/dodge start making some real money again NASCAR will open it up and let them build race specific engines or cars that aren't limited to outdated standards that serve no purpose in automotive advancement...
or maybe they'll go to actual stock cars .. I'd love to see strung out v6s flying around the track (and the ensuing competition that would only be good for us... v8s coupe fusions/monte carlos/whatever dodge is running now..)
but none of that will happen and I'll continue to not watch or care about NASCAR.
