Thanks ceetwarrior, should of read the earlier posts. I currently am running a MBRP muffler backwards, but when I go MKO I will probably go straight pipe!
foxracer, how does it sound running it backwards? I was wondering if it'd be any louder with the 'teeth' facing backwards not grabbing air. I just can't bring myself to run it straight piped. I hate the fluttering turbo sound, it's horrible sounding.
The backwards MBRP sounds good, but the flutter is still present. The MBRP website use to have sound clips on it, I don't know if they still do. When I had it welded in at the exhaust shop, the guy asked me if I wanted it the right way or the loud way (backwards). The design of the MKO looks identical to the MBRP. At that time, I had just moved from a straight piped dodge, so I wanted to be quieter and legal, but if I do the MKO, I will get the muffler just in case I ever get inspected, and just run the straight pipe
ssnh, is that the MKO system? I don't want my exhaust looking like that! It is fixable though, just dump the exhust out in front of the rear tire! Does everyone elses MKO look like this?
tail pipe in front of the tire looks good but it keeps your rim and tire black unless you wash your truck 2 or 3 times a week..
SSNH you need to fix that..the 2 piece tail pipe isn't put to together right.and it looks like you cut off to much of the last strait pipe for the length ..this exhaust is made to fit crew cabs and you cut it to fit your cab style..i got my 5" strait pipe from MKO as well..my 6" tip is off by a half turn so the 45 go's to the rear rather then down to the ground..that was my choice..but you can see the 5" tail pipe its self is strait...and the second pic below my tire and tip is covered in salt so it is dirty..but again you can see the tail pipe is strait..mine is up under the truck with a spare tire and a 30k lb hide a ball goose neck hitch....you need to take your time..hang and line it all up be for you tighten them clamps starting at the turbo working your way back..i had one problem with this system..the washers on the hanger would jingle.i used form a gasget to stop that..now no rattling, tapping or banging on my system...its tight in there but it does fit..

i fixed it by having the last over the axle piece bent. the straight pipe was not cut.
the orginal install was done correctly and somewhat addressed in a thread last year. all attempts (phone, email, website submission) to contact the supplier were unsuccessful.
