Cab repairs
I have a 1976 f-150 4x4 cab that needs attention. The truck was rearended on the drivers side, pushing the box into the cab. From the top of the box down about 6" up from the corner is dented. Can I use a donor cab and cut the whole corner off? (doorway lip to drip rail to rear window and down the seam to corner?)
Also I was wondering how to remove roof panel. hard or no? brace the cab or will it be strong enough?

You can use the donor cab for sure to replace the damaged piece and removing the roof panel really isn't all that hard and yes I would definitely brace the cab at the A pillar and B pillar just to play it safe. Every chop top I've ever done, the first step was to tack weld some braces in place just to prevent any type of sag,, even though the top was going back in place usually within hours of removal. And remember, measure twice cut once.
