Coolant smell
I recently purchased a used 05 4x4 PSD. When towing uphill, on a couple of occasions, I heard a "whooshing" sound followed by the distinct smell of coolant. No power loss, no temp gain, just a wierd smell for a minute or two. Any ideas??

At the top of this screen look under recalls/tsb -click on full text tsb- look for tsb 06-21-2 and see if this is it. If less than 100K miles take it in and let them do the diagnosis. You'll have peace of mind also.
