Salvage Yard Suggestions
Hey Northern California Neighbors,
I am going to start hitting the salvage yards or pick and pulls around the bay and Sacramento areas (within 100 miles or so of Vallejo) in February. I've never been to any around here. Do you have any suggestions where I should go? I mainly need body parts (front fenders, front cab moints, floor pans, etc)for my 1970 highboy.
While I am at it, I would be happy to look for parts for the project truck and either kick-in or buy the parts depending on price. Tell me what is needed for the project truck and I will keep an eye out for them.

There's a guy in Chico (or there abouts) who builds demo derby cars and has a lot of 60's/70's stuff. Big M ...I believe, is the name of the yard. He also advertises in Hemmings.

Chico is considerably more than 100 miles from Vallejo...
Karl, my local yard has quite a bit of old stuff and a good number of '67-'72 trucks. Prices aren't bad but not as good as a typical Pick 'N Pull.
Mapquest puts us 82 miles apart and actually gives the proper directions, pretty much straight up 29.
