Mine has a switch on the bottom that I can set to On/Auto/Off. If I am working out in the garage for any length of time I just set it to On. but for the most part I leave them set to auto. It work great for the backing if vechiles at night and when I go out to stock my wood boiler the light just come on when I enter the garage this way if I leave with my hand full of stuff, that is one less thing to worry about.
Though I have been looking for something in the tool box and suddenly I'm surronded by darkness then I have to walk back up for the motion sensor to activate again that is usually when its gets turned to on for the rest of the day.
