he then told me never to "preach that patriotic crap" to his son.
Maybe the old man believes this or maybe he was pissed off that you attempted to dicipline his child. While i disagree completely with that they did, disciplining them is way out of line on your part. If i was their old man, i would have given you an earful too. It angers me to see people screwing around during the anthem, but no one likes a "patriotism ****". You are a serviceman, you are the reason they can do that if they so wish, take solace in that fact and hope they learn in the near future.
I do apoligize for branding the whole generation. I know not everyone in the generation is disrespectfull. I don't really blame it on the kids so much the parents. I remember if I stepped out of line I got a *** tanning. I am sure you some of you guys had the same type of parents. I was just pissed and wanted to "vent". I just remember the good old days when we called eachother on C.B.'s and not cell phones, and if you saw an elder person loading groceries you sprinted to there aid. You don't see that much anymore.
I live in a small town, So helping elders is something your taught to do. Its like plowing your neighbors driveway and you don't take money for it. When I said "sprint" I didn't mean it literaly. I am getting way off the subject. I just was pissed and wanted to know if everyone felt the same way I did. Thanks for all your inputs and sorry if I pissed in your weaties.
