Looks Awesome looking better and better all the time you do something those fenders look way better on that truck same with wheels cant wait to see when its done
k, i was looking through those photos nathan, and i got a littel confused, are you going to be putting duals on your front wheels as well? or when you talk about the adaptor, are you still talking about the rearend?
My take on it is that the adapter/spacer is needed to mount the dished in front wheels to match up with the dually rear end. The front wheels are single though.
It might look cool with dually front wheels except when trying to turn sharp, this would require another set of extra wide front fenders like his 51.
Fomoko is right. You need the wide front hubs to put the dished "dually" wheel on the front. This also allows me to carry one spare tire instead of two.
I figure it costs too much to buy a dually so I'm going to build one. When the truck is finished, I want it to look like a factory dually. I needed the wider front fenders since I increased the front track width from 59.5" to 66" so my tires will fit under the front fenders.
Glen,
Dually rims are a standard 16x6" rim. I plan on using 235/85/R16 tires. You probably could squeeze a 265/70/R16 on but they might rub in the rear.
Dave,
You must get some pics of your 52 F-3. I want to see it. You got to finish the 4wd swap on the F-350 before you dig into the F-3.
Yeah i agree with you there why not make a dually prob harder to find to buy one and you will most likely be paying big $$$ im pretty sure it will look like a factory dually already is starting to lol....
