I tried to find out, but in typical OEM style, they lead you be the hand to check this terminal or this wire, without really telling you what's going on in the manual. The nearest I got was the "air bag simulator" but they do not tell you what value it is.

Be sure and do not put a meter on the airbag. When a meter takes an ohm value, it injects a voltage into the circuit. There is a chance that this might set the airbag off. I did notice anytime in the manual they were doing checks, they had a shorting bar across the airbag terminals to prevent any voltage from developing across the air bag terminals.

If you had a buddy at the dealer, you could ohm out his "air bag simulator" and see what value it was.
