perfect thanks guys i did not get another chance till this morning to see the posting so i will check it out this afternoon on the lunch break. I was told the drivers side kick panel so that may have been my problem. Thanks again for all the help. Now if i can get Oakley to just give me a lunch..... :-staun
no worries... jsut dont let it happen again... Hehehe jsut kidding i believe i had heard it before to but like i said it all gets figured out in the end. I hope!
ok i found it... Thanks guys. But now that seems to not be the problem. The switch when turned upside down give a loss of gas and then dies with it unplugged the truck will start for a sec or two then die. This si not what my problems have been it has been a just turn over and turn over till you hear the pump go on again then it starts.... or when it dies it just all out quits. anyone have any idea what it could be? I have changed the pump I have changed the relay i have check the irnertia switch now.. I have no more ideas........... I am just going to blow it up and collect insurance on it....
The inertia switch should NOT kill the engine just by turning it over - it's supposed to respond ONLY to impact. It sounds like your inertia switch is bad, but you can get them from junkyards. I have probably a half dozen that I've collected.

no i have to tap it or hit it as well but it still does not kill the truck right away. This is why i think this is not the problem. I think there is something else but i will try your test again and see what i can find. I think it is just going to have to go back to the shop and let them find it. Could my computer be bad and that is causeing the stalls and not starting as well?
That's how the inertia switch should work - the fuel pump dies immediately, but the engine will continue to run for a second or two until the pressure in the fuel rail is bled off by the injectors opening.
I doubt your computer is at fault - it's more likely wiring, or the pump, or the pressure regulator, or the filters, or the ignition...
