smoothest suspension?

ok i have a 77 f150 4x4 reg cab stepside. it is bone stock with exception of factory hd coils up front. i am going to install a 6" suspension lift (no other lift) and i will be using full rear springs in back. ive heard skyjacker is the way to go, but i see where on broncograveyard site they have new superlift superflex coils. and bullet proof extended extra flex radius arms. ive seen the price of all of these and it doesnt matter. I just want the best riding suspension for this truck because it will be my daily driver truck with 35s or 36s radials. thanks for the help, i just want the most input on this suspension choice because i dont want to spend alot of money and find out that i could of gotten a better set-up. thanks for all the input and replys!!!

Skyjacker is what ive allways used I feel they have the best riding lift out there my 6inch skyjacker compared to one of my buddys 6ich from tuffcountry same model year and everything. mine rides like a town car compared to his buck board. The only thing I would change on mine that a friend did to his 76f150 is he bought the Super Flex Extended Radius Arms (i think that fabritech makes them. not fabtech) they are about 12-14 inchs longer than stock. The articalation is insane. With tsl 40's on his ford we put a floor jack with 2 cinder blocks on it and jacked one side in the front as high as it would go (DAMN HIGH) and we couldnt find a way to get a tire off the ground. The bad side is when you drive down the road it feels like its really lose up front. So over 50mph and it feels like your living on the edge. But when you hit the trail with it and hammer down theres NO stoping it. If i could have taken photos of some of the things we did you would have thought we photoshoped it lol.

I just finished a 71 balzer ( I know, but I gotta pay the bills somehow) with a D60 up front, and a lengthened, and modified radius arm set-up with a dual rate coil-over shock. This is a coilover with two different springs, stacked on top of each other. The springs have different rates, and allow for a super plush ride, on the upper coil, while leaving room for bigger demands as the springs compress. This desingn makes on, and off-road tuning very easy, and is far superior than a single gigantic coil, that when made longer, can be very unstable, and unpredictable, giving the operator different feedback on every suspension cycle. Since you have a radius arm now, purchasing longer ones would be easy to do, and setting up a fullsize F-150 might require an upper spring rate of about 175 lbs, with a lower rate of say, 280 - 320 lbs, depending on the engine configuration, and a dew other variables. This latest vehicle was rock solid to 100mph on the highway, and is a dream off-road. The RTI on a 30* ramp was amazing, and if you are really looking for the best, I would recommend that you consider this type of set-up. More, and more trucks are going this direction, and it really is not that much more expensive. Another big advantage, is adjustability with minimal expense. If you don't like the ride, change shock valving, or replace one or both of the coils, or any combination. This is racing technology for the street, and dollar for dollar, well worth the investment. Just something to consider.

Just wondering, how you can say that one lift is the smoothest riding when all you have experienced are two brands and there a dozen out there? I have a Rough
Country lift on my truck under a 460 and it seems to ride pretty nice. And i base this
on my friends truck with a diesel reg cab with a skyjacker lift, honestly i dont feel
that much differance??? hmmm. Sorry about bustin in on ya but had ti chime in.

i really like the idea of the coilovers but i think with this truck i want to stay with the original set up (big coils) i just dont know if i want to go skyjacker or reg. superlift or superflex superlift. with that being said about the extended radius arms i dont know if i want too much floating on the highway. when you describe that feeling did it feel as if the truck was going to flip over??? and what kind of springs and lift height did your friend have the the x-tend radius arms???
