Does anybody make a triple gauge mount for the top of the dash above the radio for an OBS.. I have found them for Dodge and Super Duties.. I wonder how hard it would be to modify one to fit?
Thanks for the link and pic... just ordered mine... Now I have to find a drivers side pillar that hasnt been cut or drilled... Im going to move my gauges from the pillar to the dash.. going from a 2-gauge pillar to a 3-gauge dash since Im adding a pyro..
firemanp, why didnt you get the three pillar mount, instead of the dash mount. becuase the obstrution of the sight? or why?, I ask these because I m working on the same thing: pillar vs. dash mount.
I've got the triple pod on my pillar and im in the middle of putting 4 more gauges on on the center of the dash, im using autometer2 1/16 crome single gauge pods. Not realy what you were looking for but more food for thoght.

Plowhand that is slick. Did you only drill one hole on top of the dash?
I like having the analog gauges. I already have the boost/pryo/water temp on my pillar. Would it be wise to go with oil/fuel presure and a alt meter? Or am I missing something? I have a 5-speed so I don't really need the tranny temp.
I used all mechanical gauges so I drilled three holes due to wires & sending units. If you went with electrical gauges you could probably get by with one or two holes. An oil pressure gauge is a good idea because the stock gauge is not much more than an idiot light. The oil pressure sending unit sends a signal to the PCM and the PCM interprets the signal and then decides what signal to send to the gauge to make it register.
An ammeter is a good idea because it gives you a true reading on what your charging system is doing, as apposed to a volt meter which only tells you what your batteries are doing. Remember that you can have a 12 volt flashlight battery, but it won't crank you truck, you need AMPERAGE with the voltage.
In my opion a fuel pressure gauge is most useful if you are running an after market fuel system and you need to monitor the pressure regulator. Our fuel systems put out a pretty steady psi. So thats just a matter of prefference.
A word of caution on fuel gauges, remember to keep the fuel outside of the cab. In other words, you will need to have an electical fuel pressure gauge, not a mechanical one.
If you decided to go with only two gauges, egauges has them and single pods also. I have the two pod on the dash next to the A-pillar. I set it in the middle of my dash before I mounted them and it look O.K. there also. Hope this helps.
