lockers?
seriously though. get your car in the air (lift preferably, jack stands otherwise) and rotate your drivers side tire manually. if your passenger side tire rotates in the oppoisite direction, you have some sort of non-open differential.
as far as what type, if youre the original owner and you havn't put any in, you don't have lockers. they didnt come with them from the factory.
if youre a second owner, check the paperwork. if that isnt an option, then listen carefully when you take a hard turn. if your tires chirp you may have a locker.
besides that, the only other thing i can think of is to just open the differential housing and look at the carrier. lockers look a lot different than limited slips or open differentials. check around on the net and you should be able to find quite a few pictures.
lastly, if all of that stuff fails. take it to a mechanic and have him figure it out.
hope that helps buddy.

If you don’t feel like lifting the truck put one tire in the grass and one on the pavement and give it a little gas if all it does is tear up the yard you don’t have a locker.
I recommend using your on yard for this one, It easer to explain it to your wife than the cop.
