eliminating the key buzzer...

any one out there know how to disable the key in the ingintion buzzer on a f-450 super duty.

we always leave the key in the ignition when we are on a site and the dinging is driving me mad...

please help...

There's a black with pink tracer wire under the column. Thats the one you cut. Goes to the key sw....What year truck?

but we have a 06 and a 07. and if I can stop the dinging madness... I will be a hero... lol..

yeppers...i snipped the black wire with pink tracer on my '05 a long time ago, and have loved it ever since.

There's a thread in the Tech Folder that's stickied up top in this section, and it has details on getting rid of the key dinger, seatbelt dinger, and even lights-on dinger, if you're so-inclined.
