Computer Chips in Keys

Does Ford put computer chips in the ignition keys of the Super Dutys or F-150s for added security so that a duplicate can't just be easily made?

No. The '08's will have the PATS (chipped key), but from '99-'07, nothing but door locks for security.

My 2000 F-150 did in fact have a transponder in the key, cost me 150 bucks to get two keys made for it. My 2001 F-250 does not have a transponer in the key
