Hey Guys. Ive been reading Threads about the DP tuners. After hearing what you guys have said about them im very interested! I went onto the web site and i was a little confused. Now the Chip is 244.95 and that comes with one performance file. Correct me if im wrong but you acually buy upgraded files or (More HP)? Thats crazy. How is that standard performance file? How much HP does that add? And also How do u get the files to your chip? Thanks
You tell him what you want and he burns it to the chip. I fyou want to add more you return the chip to him and he reburns it. The chip with 6 files (stock, High Idle, 4 performance tunes) will run about 450
I get mine from UPS on Monday. I got No start, stock, high idle, 60 tow 80 econ and 120 race. It was $411 and some change. Trust me, you all will be hearing about it Monday or Tuesday night. Monday night if I have an issue, Tuesdat night for the HELL YEAH!!
a "performance file" is any HP rating file that adds HP. A tune that i would not consider "performance" is no start, stock, high idle, valet, etc. The no start and stock i believe are free. The high idle is not very expensive, but i believe each additional performance tune is $40. All he does is just programs in another setting that you can switch into. If you get more than one setting, (i would get a re-fried PCM if you want ONE setting), you pay an extra $45 or so for the switch to change programs. Now that you have gauges, the chip is ready to go in. My chip was around 540ish, with no start, stock, hi idle, 40tow 60tow, 80econo, 120race, 140agressive (smoke), and lope idle.

Yeah, what's up with that? Not that I've been looking there or anything . So without the switch what do you have? If the switch is required, why not just include it in the chip price? I guess it's just me being picky again.

How much longer will it be before you will be buying one, one, two, three weeks. You know you what one !

Well obviously you don't need it with one position in the chip. So when you go to two positions, i don't think it would make sense for the second program to be $85, and then subsequent programs to be only $40. So i think he did that to say that you needed the switch with a multi-position chip, but not to confuse people because ALL performance tunes cost the same. does that make sense?
do you see much differance between the 120 and 140, if so please explain thanks
Very doubtful. Your stock HPOP and injectors are pretty much maxed out at the 120 setting. I've got the 100 and 120 setting on mine. I don't notice much of any difference between the two, even with my dual HPOP setup. The stock injectors are only capable of delivering so much fuel, and the 120 setting pretty much does it.
