I am having a problem getting either the a/c or the heater to work in my truck. It worked fine for a while and then quit. There have been times when I could get it to work but as soon as the engine was shutoff it would not work again. I have a 2000 F-150 six cylinder 5 speed. I have changed out the blower resistor and run the blower motor straight off the battery and had no problems getting it to work. Not sure what else to do. Could the problem be in the controls themselves?
Welcome to FTE truckedude. Take a look around, you will find FTE to be the best site on the web for Ford Trucks!
Try pulling the **** off of the temperature control and swapping it with one of the others. The ***** tend to crack and slip on the shaft of the temperature cotrol rheostat.
