got an exhaust question

I have a 88 4X4 F150 with the Inline 4.9L.

My question is there is a pipe that comes down off of some kind of valve and hooks into the main exhaust pipe just aft of the O2 sensor. Where it is supposed to hook into the main exhaust pipe it is broke off.

This valve is some sort of vacuum valve. not sure what it is though. thanks

The pipe that comes off the valve goes into the catylitic converter (the front one I think, im not sure right now.) The vacuum valve diverts air from the air pump and sends it to the catylitic converter for emissions purposes.
