460 questions
I have been looking for a 460 to replace my 351M in my 1979 f150 4wd. I called on one that was out of a 73 lincoln, it has a stocK 4bbl intake and comes with a c6 2wd tranny. The guy said it was pulled 2 years ago and ran when it was taken out.
Any suggestions or things i should look for, the guy is asking $200 for the motor and the trans. Is this a good motor to do a rebuild on and drop in my truck?

just double-check that it isnt a 1972 engine. d2ve head casting. they suck. if its any other head casting number youre good to go. they only made that head the one year, and had serious detonation issues due to crappy chanber design... 8-1 compression and still would detonate on anything less than pump premium. i know- i had one.
