Np435 And C6 Question

Np435 And C6 Question
hey guys i have a quick question. my friend has a np435 on his 79 4x4 ford. he wants to make it auto. what c6 would work best so he doesn't have to shorten or lengthen his driveshafts? the c6 with the adapter for a np205 or a c6 with the np203 adapter? thanks

What motor and what transfer case does it have in it right now? I would assume a 351M/400. If so, a C-6 from a 351M/400 or 460 will work. If it's a 302 or 300 I-6 then you will need a C-6 from the previous mentioned or a 351W. You will also need the matching adapter.

It has the inline 6 with the np205 transfercase. he's going to be putting a 351w in it. I have two c6's bother from 351w but one had the np203 and the other had the 205. so your saying the np205 c6 would be the better one so he wouldn't have to change his drive shafts? cause i know the np203 adapter is alot shorter then the np205 and you can use either adapter for the np205. thanks for all the help
