need more power

ok i replaced ip injectors and glows... was wondering what people mean when they say turned a flat? is that turning the INJ PUMP towards the pass side a flattip screw driver width? or what? i dont want to pay to get it timed it seems to run good just a little slow 86 6.9 natural aspirated..... maybe i need to advance my pump.. i put it in pretty much straigh up

"Turning it up a flat" refers to adjusting the fuel flow screw inside the injection pump. It is an allen screw, and "a flat" refers to the 6 flat sides of an allen wrench.

1 "flat" = 1/6 of a turn = 60 degrees of rotation.
