I bought my truck and it already has f150. The problem is that it is an f100. I am wanting to replace them with the correct emblems. My question is how are they attached to the cowl, snap in or nuts on the inside of the cab or what. If nuts, how do you get to them?
If the "push-pin nuts" come out with the emblem, they will have to be replaced, or there can be a danger of the new emblem falling off.
You can get these at most auto body shops, and I believe some automotive paint stores.
If you put some silicone gasket sealer, or a modern type "emblem cement", on the emblem posts prior to instalation they go on much easier, and when the silicone dries there is a less chance of them being loose and rattling. Just dont use so much as to squash outside the emblem.
