Vacuum problems with 351?
I've got a 1989 F250 with a 5.8 (351W) engine. Lately, I've had problems with the engine surging, and stalling. Today I checked the air filter, and the it had a lot of oil inside the box. Without the filter it runs fine, so I'll replace the filter. I put this filter in maybe 3 months ago though. I've also had problems with an oil leak, from multiple locations, it appears. I know some of the vacuum hoses have been disconnected recently, when I had work done on the trans. Could the vacuum hoses be causing a problem? Too much pressure inside the engine blowing oil out? Just wondering and thanks in advance for any advice!
